GeoMind’s mission is to design and develop new technologies and software products for GIS-based applications, with a particular specialization in the field of 3D visualization. Innovation and pursuit of advanced solutions, including research aspects, are the main ingredients of GeoMind's activity.
GeoMind was founded in 2003, gathering experiences from the worlds of academic research and software industry. The GeoMind’s technical team is composed by highly skilled and qualified professionals with various scientific backgrounds: software engineers, physicists, mathematicians; this assures an open mind approach with respect to challenges and ambitious goals that GeoMind has to face up.
In 2006 GeoMind became part of the Abaco Group, with the responsibility of carrying out R&D activities of the Group, for the realization of new products. As an example, GeoMind produced the DbMAP 3D Suite, a complete and flexible solution for the visualization of 3D geographic contents, which can be published through the web.
Products realized by GeoMind are employed by various regional and local governments in Italy and Europe, and by other companies, like SEAT Pagine Gialle S.p.A. (Italian Yellow Pages); 3D technologies designed and developed by GeoMind have been adopted by Navionics S.p.A., leader in marine electronic cartography, and by its OEM partners, like Navico Inc. and Raymarine Inc..
